On 13 April, when people assembled for a peaceful protest against the Rowlatt Act at Jallianwala Bagh, Brigadier Dyer entered the garden and ordered his soldiers to fire indiscriminately and without warning. The massacre brought a crucial change in India's struggle for independence. Remembering the event on this day is not only to recall the ordeal innocent people have gone through but also to recall how corrupt minds can sink and warn us to take lessons.
