Ms. Zarnain Manzoor’s thesis titled: Discourses around the Kashmiri Pandits: Engaging with the ‘Fractured Identify’ and the ‘Politics of Deadlock’ has been evaluated, and she is declared eligible for the Award of Degree of DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Ph.D) by the University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences & Technology (TDU). She worked under the guidance of Dr. Anshuman Behera in the School of Conflict and Security Studies, Conflict Resolution and Peace Research Programme.
Ms. Hrudaya Chandana Kamasani's thesis titled "Discursive Formulations of Violence in Ethnic Conflict: Generation and Transmission of Values" has been evaluated and she is declared eligible for the Award of Degree of DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Ph.D) by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). She worked under the guidance of Prof. Anshuman Behera in the School of Conflict and Security Studies, Conflict Resolution and Peace Research Programme.
Ms. Sherin Ajin's thesis titled From Beyul to Frontier: The Dynamics of Border Making in Tawang has been evaluated and she is declared eligible for the Award of Degree of DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Ph.D) by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). She worked under the guidance of Prof. Shivali Tukdeo.
V Girija joined the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) on March 26, 1992, and served as an Administrative Coordinator until her retirement on March 31, 2026.
Ms V Girija had been a part of the NIAS administration since 1992 supporting the Institute in administrative and infrastructure development activities. Provided support for organizing the NIAS-UGC Courses for University and College Teachers conducted during 1998-2008 and also handled matters related to NIAS PhD Programme during its inception stage.
She was supporting the Institute in proceedings related to the NIAS Council and Annual General Body Meetings, NIAS Programme for Senior Executives, NIAS-DST Training Programmes, NIAS Annual Report, and the organization of other institutional meetings.
S. Lalitha joined the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) on October 1, 1992, and served as an Administrative Coordinator until her retirement on March 31, 2026.
K S Rama Krishna joined the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) on December 10, 1990, and served as an Administrative Coordinator until his retirement on July 31, 2024.
Mr K S Rama Krishna was joined NIAS in 1990, as the Secretary to Dr Raja Ramanna, the founding Director of NIAS.
Mr Rama Krishna, as a keen learner, took interest in the IT field and was in charge of IT Infrastructure at NIAS. He looks after the IT requirements of NIAS like purchase, planning, Network/System Administration and vendor development, etc.
Besides he was also provides administrative support in conducting DST training programmes at NIAS. He had assisted in conducting various events at NIAS like the Associates’ Programme, Memorial Talks, etc.
He was the co-coordinator of the Wednesday Discussion Meeting along with Prof. Anindya Sinha.
His interests include photography, Carnatic classical music and Indian Vedic tradition and philosophy. He is a graduate in Arts with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. He has completed his Senior Grade in Shorthand and Typewriting.
