This session is to introduce Statista platform ahead of trial access to the product and help NIAS community evaluate the product.
Brief Note on Statista
Statista is one of the world’s largest statistics, data and research platforms with access to more than 1.5 million data on 80,000 topics. The platform professionally gathers and compiles content from more than 22,500 sources worldwide (300-500 new data are uploaded daily). To date, more than 25,000 companies and organisations, as well as around 4500 universities worldwide, use Statista access. Nine of the top 10 Shanghai-ranked institutions subscribe to the Statista Campus License.
Statista is one-of-a-kind resource and has been widely used by research communities across the globe. Statista can be found cited in some of the top journals from various domains, including Marketing, Environmental Sciences, Technology, Medicine, and the Social Sciences.
This short presentation and demonstration will focus on the user friendliness of the platform, content availability, and the various features and functionality of the platform. Following the session, a 14-day trial would be offered to the user community of NIAS to evaluate the content and utility of the resource.
About the speaker
Mr Stani Jude John is the Sales Manager for Statista, handling the academia vertical for the regions: South India and Sri Lanka. He has over eight years of experience, out of which six years have been within the Information Technology industry. He has worked with some of the premium institutions in the country and has catered to their academic and research requirements.
