Abstract: Sampoorna Swaraj Foundation is, NGO, focusing on the development and implementation of technologies such as Navigated Learning Technology, Natural Language Processing, Workflow Automation, IoT integration, Facial Recognition, AIML and GIS mapping in rural institutions in India, including Gram Panchayats, Primary Health Care centers and Public Distribution system. This presentation will give a brief overview of these technologies and their pilot implementations in Karnataka.The main purpose of the talk is to showcase, how the capacity building of elected representatives and functionaries and the capacity building of institutions in the rural area is critical for inclusive development and for achieving UNSDGs.
About the speaker: Dr. Shankara Prasad is the Founder and Managing Trustee Sampoorna Swaraj Foundation. Dr. Prasad holds a M.Tech from the IIT, Kanpur and a Doctoral Degree in Engineering from the State University of New York, Stony Brook, New York. He is currently focusing on integrating E-Governance with Block Chain, India stack and voice interaction. Sampoorna Swaraj Foundation has developed Integrated Web Apps and Mobile Apps solutions for Primary Health Care Centers in Rural India incorporating Frontier technologies such as IoT, Navigated Learning Technology, Natural Language Processing, AI, ML, Facial Recognition and Blockchain. These Apps will enable workflow automation of all the stakeholders in PHCs from Medical Officers, Nurses, Lab Technicians, Pharmacists, HIOs, PHCOs, and ASHA Workers. This will allow Real real-time data collection and assist in Predictive Analytics of Health and wellness initiatives. Dr. Prasad is a member of the National Committee on Speech-to-Speech translation initiative of Tribal Languages using NLP. He is currently working with three IITs on this project with Soliga tribal community in Karnataka. His recent books are: Atma Nirbhar 21st Century Gram Panchayats: Technology Roadmap for Gram Panchayat Elected Representatives for Achieving UNSDGs; and Rebooting Democracy in Gram Panchayats- Applying Frontier Technologies for Capacity Building & Achieving Gram Swaraj.
