Across the Indian Ocean and Asia-Pacific, earthquakes, tsunamis, cyclones, sea-level rise, and extreme rainfall are increasingly interacting to create compounding and systemic risks. These is a need to shift toward anticipatory risk governance, powered by: Earth Observation, AI/GeoAI, Digital twins and Impact-based early warning systems. Because resilience is not about stopping the waves. It is about preventing one crisis from triggering many others. |
