As we commemorate National Broadcasting Day on July 23, we honour All India Radio (AIR), or Akashvani, one of the most influential organisations in Indian society. The Indian Broadcasting Company, a private company, transmitted India's first radio broadcast on this day in 1927 from the Bombay Station. 

Globally, there is a growing adoption of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), which integrates multiple transit modes into a single digital interface for planning, booking, and payment. MaaS prioritises commuter convenience and system efficiency over legacy hierarchies and siloed services. Its success depends on clean technology, open-data systems, and digital payments.

Global discussions focus on reducing carbon emissions to prevent further global warming. Equally important is avoiding crossing critical thresholds that could cause the further collapse of tropical rainforests.

The tendency to assemble in large groups, even in the face of danger, is not a shortcoming of human nature; rather, it is a characteristic that has contributed to the survival and success of our species throughout history. 

Artificial intelligence, once confined to the realms of imagination and academic discussion, has transformed into a formidable and ubiquitous presence that influences almost every facet of our existence. AI has revolutionised our communication, learning, food production, and health care, fundamentally altering our interactions with the world and one another.
