The world observes Sanskrit Day every year on "Shraavana Poornima".  Some philologists believe that languages like Latin and Greek are related to this language. Despite all its greatness and influence on cultures over millennia, the number of people who speak Sanskrit fluently is tiny. It is to remind about the richness of this ancient language and evoke interest and cherish and enhance its use.
