Good Governance Day

Good governance becomes paramount for a country like India, which is very diverse in culture and traditions and has an uneven distribution of natural resources. India observes the "Good Governance Day" every year on 25th December, to commemorate the birth anniversary of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who contributed to the ethos of good governance. Being responsive to the needs of the people (all the citizens, both poor and marginalised and aspirational generation) is essential.
