Anna George is a PhD scholar in the School of Humanities. Her PhD guide is Dr. Smriti Haricharan and co- guide is Dr. Shivali Tukdeo. She did her Bachelors and Masters in English literature. She has taught in colleges for two years and has qualified CBSE-NET exam.
The topic of her Doctoral thesis is "Cilappatikaram and the worship of Kannaki in Kerala and Tamil Nadu." The work tries to understand the relation between nationalism in Tamil Nadu; myths and rituals about Kannaki in Kerala.
Her area of interest includes gender identity, national identity and feminist theory.
