About the Speaker
Prof. Rahul Tripathi is associated with the newly constituted D.D.Kosambi School of Social Sciences and Behavioural Studies, Goa University (earlier as part of Department of Political Science which he headed for twelve years). He specializes in the area of South Asia and International Political Economy, having worked on 'Monetary and Payments Cooperation in South Asia' as part of his doctoral thesis at SIS/JNU. He has published extensively in the area of South Asian economic cooperation, India's Foreign Economic Policy and International Political Economy in journals such as Economic and Political Weekly, International Studies, South Asian Survey.
He has been the Project Director of the South Asia Together Project at the International Centre, Goa and recipient of the National Voters Day Award for Electoral Literacy by the Election Commission of India.He was also a visiting lecturer at College of International Relations, Nihon University, Mishima, Japan
