About the Speaker: Vinay Sankar is a Fellow in Residence at ATREE, Bangalore. He is interested in locating water access issues from a Political Ecology perspective. He obtained his PhD from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, working on the ‘Political Ecology of Small Freshwater Bodies in Central Kerala’. His research articles have been published in journals such as World Water Policy (Wiley-Blackwell), Environmental Sociology (Taylor & Francis) and Ecology, Economy and Society- the INSEE Journal (Indian Society for Ecological Economics). Before his PhD, he was associated with various environmental groups, managing their field operations in Rajasthan, AP and Karnataka for about four years.
