Abstract: In today’s interconnected world, cyber awareness is no longer an option but a necessity. With the rapid rise in digital transactions, online interactions, and social media engagements, individuals are increasingly vulnerable to cyber threats. Cyber awareness plays a crucial role in educating people about the risks they face online and equipping them with the knowledge to safeguard their digital presence. Understanding cyber threats such as phishing, identity theft, and financial fraud is essential in preventing cybercrimes and ensuring a secure online experience for everyone.
One of the most critical aspects of cyber awareness is securing personal devices. From smartphones and laptops to smart home devices, ensuring that these tools are protected against cyberattacks is vital. With the increasing dependency on digital platforms for banking, shopping, and communication, it is imperative to stay vigilant and implement cybersecurity best practices. Through our interactive sessions, expert guidance, and real-life case studies, we empower individuals to take control of their digital security and create a safer online environment for all.
About the speaker: Priyanka is a Senior Manager Copconnect Operations and Head CSR as well a Cyber lawyer at ISAC. She has intervened in more than 300 cyber cases and helped victims across India. She has 8 years of teaching experience at various institutions in Bengaluru. She has completed her LLM specialising in Constitutional and Administrative Law from School of Law, Christ University. She has secured first rank in her post-graduation and was presented with Academic Excellence award. She has also attended a summer school at Hague Academy of Public International Law, at International Court of Justice, Netherlands. She is an avid public speaker and has delivered more than 150 cyber awareness sessions at resident communities, ladies association, schools, universities and many more. Recently, she was one of the panelists at “Southern Regional Law Review Consultation on cyber laws affecting women” organised by National Commission for Women and she provided her in depth insights on child sexual abuses online. She was also a panelist at the National Police Academy, Hyderabad on topic related to online child sexual abuse. She has been interviewed by a legal counsel in a podcast – coffee with counsel explaining her in depth knowledge about the different modus operandis of cybercrime. Her awareness has proven impactful for which she has recently been awarded as “Safe Community Advocate” by Security Today as a part of Top Indian Women Influencers and Initiatives for Security and Safety 2025.
